Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish flamenco and pop vocalist. Since she was a teenager, she's been involved with the edges of both popular and traditional music. In addition, she explores genres including hip-hop, trap and soul. Her voice is said by no less a talent than flamenco guitarist Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, and with a bite that is similar to older versions. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately receiving a Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami was her third full-length album. The album featured collaborations with fellow artists and producers, including Cory Henry. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following an appearance of the track Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to sing as a solo performer on the show. Rosala from Motomami who was awarded The Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami also became the very first woman in history to be awarded this award.
